Crafted in gold, the band forms a narrow circular ring that widens towards the top. The band surface bears chased four identical sets of motifs, each featuring a fish, an arrow, a bird, and a human face. The fish has a wide, short body with a large head, round eyes, a slightly hooked mouth with whiskers. Lifelike detailed scales cover the fish body, transitioning to zigzag patterns near the tail. Distinct features include a long dorsal fin and two shorter ventral fins, ending in a wide Y-shaped tail with forward-curving tips. A thick arrow with tail feathers pierces the fish’s head. Positioned behind the arrow shaft between the feathers and fish, the bird faces the arrow's direction. The bird displays a thick neck, large crested head with hooked beak, slightly spread wings, extended legs with claws, and three parallel triangular tail feathers aligning with its body. Encircled by two concentric circles, the face shows symmetrical round eyes, squarish eyebrows, and an abstract mouth. The smooth, flowing lines of these designs hold deep symbolic meaning.
This treasure carries great historical, artistic, and scientific value, serving as crucial physical evidence for studying the bronze civilization, goldworking craftsmanship in the Chengdu region, and cultural exchanges between the Sichuan Basin and external territories during the Shang-Zhou dynasties.
