Bronze Grand Statue of Human Figure

Total height: 260.8 cm, figure height: 180 cm, base dimensions: 48 cm (width) × 46.7 cm (length) × 35 cm (height), weight: 142 kg. Unearthed from Pit No. 2 at Sanxingdui, the hollow statue consists of two parts: a base and a human figure. The figure has a thin face with a square jaw, thick eyebrows, a straight nose, a broad mouth, and large ears adorned with cloud and thunder patterns, with earlobes featuring perforations. Standing barefoot on a square mythical beast-shaped base, the figure wears a high crown with fret patterns. It is dressed in a narrow-sleeved, three-layered robe with intricate dragon motifs, complemented by bird, insect, and eye motifs, along with a grid-patterned belt. Its hands are uniquely shaped in a hollow grip, suggesting that they once held a ritual object.
