The Jade is bluish-white with a grayish tint, opaque, and covered with fine cracks. Some areas have turned black due to mineralization. The artifact is a relatively well-proportioned square column with a circular perforation in the center. The base is slightly inclined, not completely level, causing it to stand at a slight angle when upright. The walls are relatively thin, with a thickness less than its height. The Cong surface lacks segmented grooves but is adorned with incised decorative patterns. The surface and perforation walls are finely polished and smooth.
Each side of the Jade Cong is decorated with incised patterns. Near the upper tube, two concentric lines are incised, while near the lower tube, there are four lines divided into two groups. Between the groups, two horizontal "S"-shaped motifs are carved, with one end connected. The spaces between the concentric lines and the "S" motifs are filled with nearly horizontal, elongated triangular patterns.
Two opposite sides of the Cong each bear an incised tree motif, measuring 8 cm in height. The base of the first tree takes the shape of a "Jǐ (几)" character, with the trunk bifurcating at the bottom and resting on the base. The tree has five branches: two extending from the middle of the trunk, curving upward, and three trident-like branches at the top. The middle branches are larger than those at the top. Each branch terminates in a heart-shaped form, possibly symbolizing flower stamens, while the sides of the branches feature varying numbers of curved forks, likely representing leaves.
The second tree, also 8 cm tall, has a more complex base consisting of two tiers: the lower tier is shaped like the "Yǒu (酉)" character, resembling a large large-mouthed zun vessel, with curved hook-like protrusions on either side resembling the flanges of a zun. The upper tier is shaped like the "Wù (兀)" character. The trunk also forks at the bottom, resting on the upper layer of the base. Like the first tree, it has five branches arranged similarly, though they are more uniform in size. The tips of the branches are more intricate, formed by two stacked elongated ovals, with the upper oval featuring two near-"V"-shaped incised motifs. The middle branch terminates in a shovel-shaped tip, while the remaining four taper to sharp points. The arrangement and form of the foliage are similar to those of the first tree.
